Bone regenerative filler
FlexiOss®Vet absorbs liquids (e.g. blood, plasma, drug solutions etc.). It can serve as a carrier of active substances, in particular antibacterial drugs, thus minimizing the systemic application of antibiotics within the perioperative period. Due to its haemostatic properties, it reduces bleeding from an operation site.
Innovative material
The combination of the two main compounds of the composite was obtained by polimer gelling into the structure of an irreversible, collagen-like triple helix – the conformation which does not evoke the appearance of local inflammation processes and enables the entrapment of HAP granulate.
Once implanted, FlexiOss®Vet integrates favourably into the patient’s bone with the effect of natural bone tissue formation. Consequently, it eliminates the need for reoperation for implant removal, which significantly spares the animal additional stress and pain.
